Victoria (1837-1901), Halfcrowns, type A4 (2), 1848 over 6, no serifs; another, 1849 over 7 [?], large date, no initials on truncation, rev. eight strings to harp, without serifs, edge milled, 13.85g, 5h; 13.27g, 6h (Davies 571, 573; Bull 2728, 2730; ESC 681A, 682; Spink 3888), both rubbed, the first good to fair, the second poor, both scarce (2).
The second coin in this lot, would appear not to be a 'straight' 9, but the mythic 1849/7 rarity alluded to in the Coins of England Catalogue.
