Alexius III Angelus-Comnenus. 1195-1203. BI aspron trachy (29 mm, 3.79 g, 7 h). Constantinople mint. IC - XC, Nimbate bust of Christ facing, wearing pallium and colobium, raising hand in benediction and holding scroll; Greek name of Christ to left and right / Alexius III on left ands St. Constantine standing facing, holding between them globus cruciger; each holds labarum in outer hand. Cf. SBCV 2011-2013. F / VF, Obverse weakly struck on somewhat irregular flan as usual, reverse well struck but loses all but 2 letters of titles; obverse, reddish / reverse, olive patination, minor deposits in recesses.
