Macedonian Kingdom. "Alexander III". AR drachm (19.4 mm, 3.53 g, 12 h). Contemporary, possibly Celtic, copy of Alexander-type AR drachm. unofficial mint, 3rd-1st century B.C. Head of Alexander as young Hercules right, wearing lion-skin headdress / [Α]ΛΕΧΑΝΔ[ΡΟΥ], name vertically downwards to right of Zeus Aetophoros seated left on backless throne, right leg drawn back, holding eagle and scepter; uncertain symbol in field, left. VF, somewhat rough surfaces, dark patina in recesses.
