ΜHΡ-ΘV (barred), the Virgin, nimbate, standing facing on dais, wearing pallium and maphorium, holding nimbate head of infant Christ on breast; double border / ANΔPONIKOC-ΔECΠOTHC, Christ (on right), bearded, standing facing, wearing nimbus cruciger, pallium, and colobium, book of Gospels in left hand, right hand crowning Andronicus I (on left), standing facing, wearing crown with pendilia, divitision, and loros, labarum in right hand, globus cruciger in left; IC-XC (barred) across fields, double border.
