Another superb silver Typography medallion from a rare private collection dedicated to the subject. Netherlands, Switzerland & Germany 1740 for the 300th Year since L.J.Coster invented Typography (Contentious, as Guttenberg was also cited as inventing the art in the same year) this comes with an original collectors ticket. Bust of L.J.Coster facing left, and on reverse the printing machine for which he claims the invention. (1440-1740) by G.Marshoornhal. 36mm diameter, choice uncirculated with wonderful blue tone. RARE.
