Caracalla Æ 36mm of Laodicea ad Lycum, Phrygia. AD 198-217. AV KAI M AV ANTΩNЄINOC, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust to right / Zeus Laodikeus and Athena standing facing, heads to left, Zeus holding eagle and sceptre and Athena holding olive branch, shield and spear, in left field, Tyche standing facing, head to right, holding globe and sceptre; ΛAOΔIKЄΩN in exergue. Unpublished in the standard references: for reverse type cf. BMC 186; Gorny & Mosch 253, lot 325 (same dies); Numismatik Naumann 56, lot 377 (same dies). 24.00g, 36mm, 6h.

Very Fine. Extremely Rare; apparently the third known example.
