Nero. AD 54-68. Æ As (28mm, 13.22 g, 2h). Uncertain Balkan/Thracian mint (Perinthus?). Struck circa AD 64-66. Laureate head right / Neptune standing left, holding small dolphin and trident. RIC I (old edition) 441; RIC I (new edition) –, but see discussion on pp. 186-7; RPC I 1760. Green and brown patina, some roughness. Near VF.
