Louis XV gold Louis d'Or Mirliton 1724-L MS62 NGC, Bayonne mint, KM470.11, Gad-339 (R), Dup-1638. Large palms variety. A not-often-seen straight-graded example of the mint and date, presently tied alongside one other as the finest yet seen by NGC. Nicer than either of the other two specimens we have offered, and certainly than the representative in the Ford Collection, with a cascading cartwheel brilliance still appreciable over both sides.
