Louis XV gold Louis d'Or Mirliton 1725-K UNC Details (Saltwater Damage) NGC, Bordeaux mint, KM470.10, Dup-339 (R), Dup-1638. Large palms variety. A very handsome piece that hardly suffers from its noted time spent in saltwater. Much scarcer than the corresponding issue of the previous year, and only the second example we have handled. Very likely from the 1725 Le Chameau shipwreck, although we have no supporting documentation for this.
