Napoleon "Hundred Days" 5 Francs 1815-A MS64 NGC, Paris mint, KM704.1, Dav-85, F-307/87. Struck during the volatile "hundred days" between Napoleon's return from exile and the second restoration of King Louis XVIII, decidedly rare in both presentation and type. Awash in a pervasive tangerine skin elevated by an uninterrupted mint brilliance all contributing to a superior visual character of the coin at hand. The current specimen remains the finest we have handled, noting only a single gem between the major grading services. As such, fervent bidding interest is expected.
