The Sir David Kirch Collection of Skit Notes - Part One

Bank of Engraving, a passable imitation of a Bank of England £20, promising to 'pay all bets or forfeit the sum of twenty pounds', 23 June 1905, serial number 51856, signature of J.J.Morris, minor graffiti, fine and rare
Outing unlisted £150-£200

---

John Morris was a copper plate engraver, born in 1875, who lived and worked around St. Pancras at the time this note was produced. It does not appear to be advertising his services, but rather appears to be some kind of IOU or maybe even a joke. Ironically, it is also not particularly well engraved!
