Aquillius standing right, holding shield and raising up kneeling figure of Sicilia; MN AQVIL to right, MN•F•MN•N to left, SICIL in exergue. Crawford 401/1. Sydenham 798. RSC Aquillia 2. About Extremely Fine; lustrous, with lightly iridescent toning. Pretty coin.

This issue refers to the successes in Sicily of Man. Aquillius, consul in 101 B.C., and to the exceptional valour he displayed throughout the war. (RSC Aquillia 2)
