His laureate head right; IMP CAES M AVR ANTONINVS AVG / Caracalla in military dress, cloak flying behind, on horse prancing right, thrusting javelin at kneeling enemy below; VIRT AVG COL ANTIOCH around, SR in exergue. SNG France 1138. Extremely Fine; lovely glossy light green patina; some deposits (as found); die break at 8' on obverse; pierced for suspension in antiquity. Sestertius-sized coin with Latin legends. Fine style. Beautifully struck in high relief with artistic dies, with a fine portrait and an elegant reverse.
