His helmeted, and cuirassed bust left, holding spear and shield; VIRTVS PROBI AVG / Probus on horseback left, raising right hand in salute, long sceptre in left hand; horse's foreleg raised over bound captive seated on ground to left; ADVENTVS PROBI AVG around, R S in exergue. RIC V.2 166 (S). Good Extremely Fine; excellent strike well centered on a broad flan; choice with extensive silvering. Superb portrait. Scarce.
