Comes with old roundrel identifying it as "Ashmolean Electro" – presumably from the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford. Purchased from CNG in a group lot of several medallion electrotypes in the early 2000s.
The Tres Monetae are the female personifications gold, silver, and bronze, or stand-ins to represent the three magistrates in charge of producing gold, silver, and bronze coins.
