Edge plain. Mint State; a superb piece on a generous flan, beautifully struck and preserved, original surfaces with just an overall hint of toning; there is a slight thin scratch in front of the forehead that appears to have been in the flan when the piece was struck.
Ex Noble who purchased it from the Baldwin stock in 1978. The Baldwin holdings went back to the beginning of the 20th century. The Noble collection included many pieces acquired directly from this stock.
