Head of Dionysos right, wearing ivy wreath and taenia / Herakles standing left, holding club and lion skin; M monogram to left. HGC 6, 358. Good Very Fine; beautiful deep old collection toning with underlying iridescence; broad flan.

From an American collection formed in the 1950s primarily from Spink (Messrs. French and Forrer) in London, NFA (Edward Gans) in New York, and Earle K. Stanton in Los Angeles.
