Near Extremely Fine; glossy black patina with pale green earthen highlights; beautiful style, perfectly centered; a little gem.

Marsyas was the satyr who challenged Apollo to a flute-playing contest. Apollo won, then tied Marsyas to a tree and flayed him alive for his presumption.
