Baaltars seated left, holding lotus-tipped scepter; grain ear and grape bunch to left, b(?) and ivy leaf to right, T below throne / Helmeted and draped bust of Athena facing slightly left. SNG Levante Supplement 21. SNG France 367-369. SNG von Aulock 5964. SNG Copenhagen 324. Extremely Fine; beautiful old cabinet toning; typical worn obverse die; crisply struck and well centered reverse; small test cut at 9' on obverse; beginnings of small die break over right ear on reverse. Choice, and of fine style.

From an American collection formed in the 1950s primarily from Spink (Messrs. French and Forrer) in London, NFA (Edward Gans) in New York, and Earle K. Stanton in Los Angeles.
