NORTHWEST GAUL. Baiocassi. 2nd-1st century BC. Stater (Electrum, 20 mm, 5.48 g, 9 h), 'au sanglier' and 'au profil géométrique' type. Celticized male head to right, surmounted by a boar. Rev. Devolved charioteer, driving a cart drawn by a centaur to right, holding reins in his right hand and a long branch ending in a vexillum-like banner in his left; below, boar to right. DT 2260. LT 6978. Nicely toned. Very fine.
