SICILY. Katane. Circa 211-206/4 BC. Dichalkon (Bronze, 16 mm, 3.31 g, 12 h). Laureate head of Apollo to left; to right, monogram. Rev. KATA-NAIΩN Aphrodite standing right, holding dove on her outstretched right hand; to right, II (mark of value). CNS III 26. HGC 2, 613. SNG ANS 1284. Beautiful green patina. Minor smoothing and the reverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, very fine.
