August II the Strong, Thaler Dresden 1714 - VERY RARE

Very rare commemorative issue, minted to commemorate the shooting of birds in honor of Georg Wilhelm von Brandenburg-Bayreuth.

In the case of royal Poland's coinage, it is one of the few clips issued by the Polish ruler.

Variant with closed flowers in the corners of the obverse.

Very nice piece with a dark patina.
