Roman Republic, Marc Antony, Denarius - VERY RARE

Very rare denarius, minted as Antony and L. Munatius Plancus moved their forces through Greece towards the Epirus coast. Plancus was a supporter of Antony until the unsuccessful party triumvir campaign, when he swore allegiance to Octavian. Suetonius wrote that it was at Plancus suggestion that Octavian took the name August.

Bardzo rzadki denar, wybity, gdy Antoniusz i L. Munatius Plancus przemieszczali swoje siły przez Grecję w kierunku wybrzeża Epiru. Plancus był zwolennikiem Antoniusza, aż do nieudanej partyjskiej kampanii triumwira, kiedy to przysiągł lojalność Oktawianowi.
