Obverse: Laureate bust of Napoleon right, legend around; Reverse: L'EMPEREUR PASSE LE RHIN A MAYENCE (The emperor passes the Rhine at Mainz) / MDCCCVI, Napoleon, with sword, mounting a horse, crosses a pontoon bridge while surrounded by his soldiers. An intriguing and RARE silver Napoleonic medal with devices boldly formed in high relief. The surfaces remain argent but do show signs of rubbing.
