A handsomely designed type from the short-lived First Restoration (1814-1815), featuring the broad bust of Louis XVIII in full uniform on the obverse with the crowned arms of France on the reverse. A very lustrous Crown, showing some frostiness on the raised devices and with traces of almond toning in the fields.
