IRELAND. Gun Money Shilling, 1689 (Feb). James II. NGC GOOD-06.
S-6581H (old S-6581-N on NGC insert); KM-94. This well-travelled piece of gun money, though circulated, retains all details and legends well enough to represent the type. These types were allowed to circulate in Ireland well after the end of the insurrection that James II launched, and were only withdrawn in the first half of the 18th Century, likely accounting for the wear on this piece. Great for British collectors on a budget.
