MEXICO. Mint Error -- Struck With Two Reverse Dies -- 20 Pesos, "2019" (2021)-Mo. Mexico City Mint. PCGS MS-65.
KM-unlisted. Centennial of Emilio Zapata Salazar's death commemorative (dated 2019, minted 2021). This "two-tailed" 20 Pesos is an incredible modern mule, dramatically depicting Salazar's portrait on both faces. Whether unintentional or mint sport, a duo of reverse dies were paired in the same press, creating this rarity. The astounding piece also exhibits ample die polishing, a rather pronounced strike, and exceptionally clean fields for the Gem grade. As a perfect centerpiece for one of the finest of Mexican error collections, we expect it to generate feverish bidding.
