Obverse: Bust of Nobel left; Reverse: REG ACAD SCIENT SVEC (Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences), crowned and winged Swedish coat-of-arms; radiant North Star above. Edge: 1971. This handsome medal in gold displays a few inauspicious contacts, but is otherwise free from handling. Some peel orange tone clings to the reverse design elements, with a pleasing matte gold hue overall.
