Obverse: Bust of Nobel left; Reverse: INVENTAS VITAM IUVAT EXCOLUISSE PER ARTES (and they who bettered life on earth by their newly found mastery), basin and serpent-entwined staff of Aeculapius; wreath behind. One of the earliest examples we have ever seen, this handsome medal with matted argent surfaces gives a sublime antiquate look and is a beautiful addition to any collection of Nobel medals.
