HGC-4, 1597; Kroll-8. Obverse: Helmeted head of Athena right; Reverse: Owl standing right, head facing; olive sprig and crescent to left; all within incuse square. Very strongly struck on a broad flan, this specimen of the popular type offers attractive luster and a complete view of Athena, including the all important crest. Despite the notation of brushing, the evidence of this is very hard to spot even under magnification.
