KINGS of ELYMAIS. Kamnaskires III, with Anzaze. Circa 82/1-73/2 BC. AR Tetradrachm (28mm, 15.27 g, 12h). Seleukeia on the Hedyphon mint. Date off flan. Conjoined busts of Kamnaskires III, diademed and draped bust and wearing long beard and torque, and Anzaze, draped and wearing stephane and necklace, left; anchor symbol to right / Zeus-Belos enthroned left, holding scepter and Nike, who stands right and holds palm fronds; MAK[EΔΩN] to inner left; traces of date in exergue. Cf. van't Haaff Type 7.1.1-1-2 (for type); cf. Alram 454 (same); Sunrise –. Bright surfaces, traces of deposits, minor porosity, slight doubling on obverse. VF. Exceptional in that it lacks the tooling usually seen on this issue.
