Indonesia / Irian Barat 1960 (ND 1963) P-R5 PMG Gem UNC 65 EPQ 100 RupiahThis highest denomination Irian Barat issue was printed for West Papua to replace the Netherlands New Guinea Gulden. As such, this currency was more valuable than the Indonesian Rupiah. This type circulated for 10 years before being completely replaced by the Indonesian Rupiah 1973. Uncirculated examples are very scarce and this type is certainly missing from many collections.
