Ex Myntgalleriet auction 1, lot 125. SMB 3. These pompous multiple talers from "The Era of Great Power" (Stormaktstiden) have always been highly sought after by collectors. In the sale of Oldenburgs collection at auction in 1898 on Kristina double riksdaler dated 1645, like this one, was offered. It sold for the very high sum of 321 SEK. This can be compared with a 1 riksdaler 1633 which sold for 130 SEK. The latter being a highly prized one year type of the first date of Kristina riksdalers, please see the next lot in this auction!
