CELTIC, Northeast Gaul. Remi. Late 2nd to mid 1st century BC. Stater (Gold, 17 mm, 6.12 g, 3 h), 'à l'oeil' type. Celticized male head to right; in field to right, star-like ornament. Rev. "Quadriga" with a horse galloping to left; to left and below, disc within a circle of pearls; above to right, stylized charioteer. DT 173. LT 8799. Scheers pl. 8, 222. Nearly very fine.
