PAPHLAGONIA. Sinope. Circa 330-300 BC. Drachm (Silver, 20 mm, 5.90 g, 7 h), struck under an uncertain magistrate. Head of the nymph Sinope to left, her hair bound in a sakkos and wearing a triple pendant earring and a pearl necklace; before her to left, aplustre. Rev. ΣΙΝΩ / magistrate's name illegible Sea-eagle with spread wings standing on dolphin swimming to left. Cf. HGC 7, 391-2. SNG BM Black Sea -. SNG Stancomb -. Lightly toned and perfectly centered. Light surface graininess, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
