SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Tryphon, circa 142-138 BC. (Bronze, 18.5 mm, 6.52 g, 12 h), Antioch on-the-Orontes. Diademed head of Tryphon to right. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΤΡΥΦΩΝΟΣ ΑΥΤΟΚΡΑΤΟΡΟΣ Ornate Macedonian helmet to left, with spike on top and with a wild goat's horn over the visor; inner left, star. HGC 9, 1061. SC 2034.2e. Well-struck and centered; fine style; a lovely example with a glossy dark green patina. Good very fine.
