Harold II (1066), Penny, PAX type, Norwich, Cinric, cinric on no[-]p, 1.09g/8h (Pagan, NM p.194; BMC –; N 836; S 1186). Slightly bent, chipped and cracked, otherwise good fine, extremely rare; probably the fourth known specimen £300-£400

Provenance: Found at Hethersett (Norfolk).

Pagan mentions only one specimen of this type from the Rotherham (Yorkshire) Hoard. There is a single specimen recorded in the recent Chew Valley Hoard as well as a cut Halfpenny from Stoke Holy Cross (Norfolk), EMC 2020.0154. Other coins and moneyers exist for Norwich but they are the type without sceptre
