Germanicus driving triumphal quadriga right, holding eagle-tipped scepter and reins / Germanicus standing left, raising hand and holding aquila. RIC I 57 (Gaius). VF, pleasing dark brown patina.

Like his great-grandfather Augustus did with Divus Julius Caesar, Gaius 'Caligula' had coins struck which honored his father, the great general Germanicus.
