The Dorchester hoard was found in Dorchester England in 1936 and was the largest Roman coin find to have been discovered at the time. The hoard consisted of over 22,000 coins, mostly Antoniniani. Several thousand coins were kept by the British Museum and the Dorchester Museum. The remainder was dispersed into the market by Seaby Coins
