QING: Shun Zhi, 1644-1661, AE cash (6.25g), H-22.10, cast 1644-45, plain reverse, VF. H. D. Gibbs' collections of world copper coins, siege pieces, thalers and counterstamped coins were sold at sales in the USA and Switzerland before his death. His collections of curious and primitive currencies were sold in the USA (1970-71) and in London (1979). This type cast on the nominal weight of 1.6 qian was likely produced in Shenyang before the Manchus captured Beijing.
