GREEK COINS
Thessaly

Phalanna. Circa 360-340 BC. Drachm (Silver, 19mm, 5.56 g 8). Youthful male head to right, perhaps Peloros (?), from the same obverse die as the last. Rev. ΦΑΛΑ-ΝΝΑ-ΙΩΝ Bridled horse trotting right, with curly tail. BCD 1250 var. BCD II 569 var., but both struck from the same obverse die used for this piece. Very rare. An attractive, bright and well-centered example. Extremely fine.
