Metapontum. Circa 430-400 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 19mm, 7.73 g 6). Head of Demeter (or Kore) to right, her hair bound up with a double fillet crossing over the top of her head. Rev. ΜΕΤΑ Grain ear with leaf to left. HN III 1507. Noe 385 c (this coin). An attractive coin of fine style. Good very fine.
