Thessalian League. Third quarter of the 1st century BC. Drachm (Silver, 17mm, 4.12 g 12), Aga.... Helmeted head of Athena to right; above, ΑΓΑ. Rev. ΘΕΣ / ΣΑ-ΛΩ-Ν Bridled horse prancing right. BCD 1387. SNG Copenhagen 309. Unusually nice and well-centered. Virtually as struck.

The die cutter responsible for this issue must have produced dies at a terrific rate of speed: this piece and the one that appeared as BCD 1387 were struck from dies that are almost exactly the same and only differ by very slight variants in positioning.
