Leontinoi. Circa 430-425 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 24mm, 17.26 g 3), with a reverse die signed by the "Maestro della foglia". Head of Apollo to left, as last. Rev. ΛΕΟΝΤΙΝΟΝ Lion's head, barley grains and laurel leaf, as last. Basel 353. Boehringer, Münzgeschichte 55. Rizzo pl. XXIV, 4. SNG ANS 257. An attractive, toned example. With some die breaks and flan faults as usual, otherwise, good extremely fine.
