Alexander III 'the Great'. 336-323 BC. Stater (Gold, 18mm, 8.61 g 1), 'Amphipolis', uncertain mint in Macedonia, c. 330-320 BC. Head of Athena to right, wearing Corinthian helmet adorned with serpent. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Nike standing left, holding wreath in her right hand and stylis in her left; to left, trident head to left. Price 175. Very attractive and well struck. Extremely fine.
