Henry VI (1422-61), annulet issue (1422-c.1430), Noble, London, king with sword and shield standing facing in ship, annulet by sword arm, reverse ornate cross, h in centre, annulet in one spandrel, 6.93gms. (S.1799; N.1414). A proficiently struck example on a broad flan, intricate and pleasing details throughout, especially in the King's portrait, his shield and waves in sea. Extremely fine. A classic example of Lancastrian hammered Gold.
