Һ ЄnRIC' (fleur) DI' · GRΛ' · RЄX · ΛnGL' · Z · FRΛnC' · DnS · ҺУB' (trefoil stops), Henry standing facing in ship, holding sword and shield; annulet to left of hand; ornaments: -1-1-; quatrefoils: 3/3 / (lis) IҺ'C (mullet) ΛVT' · TRΛnSIЄnS · PЄR · mЄDIVm · ILLORV' · IBΛT (annulet stops), cross fl eurée over voided short cross potent; at center, Һ within quatrefoil; in each angle, crown above lion passant; all within double polylobe, with annulet in one spandrel and trefoil (type 1) in all others, 6.90g. (Whitton, Heavy 7a; Schneider 299 var. (ornaments); North 1415; SCBC 1803). A superb example, struck using well prepared dies, much of the detail in relief, with quickly recognisable legends and an excellent portrait. Clear fields
without any surface markings. Good extremely fine, rare so well preserved. An outstanding example of the Calais issue annulet type.
