Elizabeth I (1558-1603), seventh issue, Crown, mm. 1 (1601-1602), crowned elaborate bust left, holding orb, rev. long cross fourchée over square shield, wt. 29.95gms. (S.2582, N.2012). The usual annealing fissures from the initial strike, seen in almost all examples of this type and denomination. Pleasing detail in both the queens portrait and the reverse coat of arms. A key type coin for the discerning Crown collector. About extremely fine, rare.
