Victoria (1837-1901), Crown, 1847, young head left, date below, toothed borders both sides legend surrounding, VICTORIA DEI GRATIA. Rev, crowned quartered coat of arms within wreath, reads BRITANNIARUM REGINA FID DEF, edge inscribed with cinquefoil stops, reads DECUS ET TUTAMEN* ANNO REGNI XI* (S.3882; Bull.2567; ESC.286). Some rim bruises, handsome cabinet tone with traces of underlying mint bloom, well detailed in the Queens hair. Bold fine, perhaps better.
