Henry VI (1422-61), first reign, Groat, London mint, leaf pellet issue (1445-54), class B, mintmark cross
fleury/-, facing crowned bust within double tressure of nine arcs, pellet either side of crown, fleurs
on cusps, leaf on breast, saltire stops, legend surrounding +HENRIC DI GRΛ REX ΛNGLI Z FRΛNC.
Rev, long cross fourchée, trefoil of pellets in angles, extra pellet in two angles, reads +POSVI DEVM
Λ DIVTOR E MEVM, inner script CIVITΛS NONDON, 3.73g (S.1915; N.1504). Slate grey cabinet toning,
struck from well engraved dies, portrait consistently detailed in all areas, some die breaks, clear legends and fields.
Rev, few light contact marks, some wear in the fourth inner quarter trefoil of pellets. Bold very fine, perhaps better.
